From Abubakar Abdullahi, in Lafia
The Nasarawa State wing of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated the newly elected State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, PDP Adamu Bako over his emergence at the congress of the party in Lafia.
Chairman of the APC Dr. Aliyu Bello, on behalf of the executive of the party, said the entire executive committee of the party extends warmest congratulations to the new PDP Chairman.
The  APC Chairman described as well deserved the victory of the new Chairman.
Bello acknowledged that PDP has a rich history of promoting democratic values through citizens engagement and advised the new opposition chairman to use his unique opportunity to build upon this legacy and inspire a new generation of leaders.
Bello described Adamu Bako as a seasoned politician with experience that will be valuable in promoting the principles of good governance, entrenching popular participation in the political process, and galvanizing robust competitive partnerships that will further arouse the consciousness of the ruling party to do its best for the overall well-being of the citizenry.
While expressing the ruling party’s trust on the ability of the opposition party to provide alternative ideas and solutions crucial in addressing the challenges facing the state, the APC Chairman called on PDP to continue to partner and support the people-driven policies of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule/APC-led administration.
The state APC also appreciated the outgoing Chairman of the PDP, Francis Orogu, for his invaluable contributions in shaping the spirit of political cooperation and peaceful competitiveness during his reign as chairman of the opposition political party.
The ruling party wished the outgone PDP Chairman well in his future endeavors.
