Katsina FRSC Sector Commander charges Special Marshals to uphold core values

 Mr. Ibrahim Bazama, the Katsina State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has charged Special Marshals to uphold the core values of the organisation in discharging their duty.

Bazama gave the charge while inaugurating New Special Marshals in Katsina recently.

According to him, fairness, timeliness, transparency are  among the core values of the organisation.

He also enjoined the newly recruited specials to discharge their duty with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity  and be impartial at all times.

The Sector Commander  reminded them that their roles as special Marshals is not limited to reducing road crashes but extends beyond enforcing traffic laws.

“You are also ambassadors of road safety, educating motorists and pedestrians on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and fostering culture of responsibility on our highways” he said.

Bazama urged the new recruits to work in synergy with other security agencies to ensure a  free and safe motoring environment for all.

He commended them for the decision to join the  prestigious Corps to render humanitarian services of saving lives on high ways.

Earlier in a remark, the  State Coordinator of Special Marshals pharmacist. Peter Nyam charged the newly  Special Marshals to operate in line with the laid down rules and regulations of the FRSC.

Nyam advised  the special Marshals to remained focused and remained disciplined at all times.

He explained that the job of Special is a voluntary and humanitarian service, stressing that anyone that that  is not interested can leave it.

Highlights of the occasion was orientation and distribution of reflective  regalia to the new special Marshals to carry out duty on highways.
