The Katsina State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has organised special prayers session marking 39 Anniversary for the creation of Katsina State and the victory of the party’s candidates in the upcoming 2027 General Elections.
Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed, spokesman to Sen.Ahmed Babba Kaita, Katsina State ADC gubernatorial candidate made this known in a statement to issued to the Citizenship Media in Katsina.
According to Ahmed, the prayers were organised by the party’s State House of Assembly Aspirants/Candidates Forum held at the Sen. Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign Office in Katsina city.
He said that the Chairman of the forum, Hon. Abdurrazak Kaita in a remark during the occasion, said the forum invited Islamic clerics across the state who memorised the Holy Qur’an for God to bring relief to the people in view of the current hardship been faced by people in Nigeria.
He said the Qur’anic recitations lasted for many hours which drew many citizens of Katsina State across the 34 local cutting across all political party lines.
He said that the prayers were particularly held against corruption, armed banditry and all forms of vices including kidnapping, poverty and bad leadership.

Ahmed disclosed that his principal who was away on medical adventure abroad has now recovered from his ailment, is expected back anytime to Nigeria to fully resume his political activities ahead of the upcoming 2027 polls.
He said the special prayers were also offered for the success of the ADC Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and for quick recovery as well as safe return and victory of the Katsina State ADC gubernatorial candidate and all the ADC Candidates in the 2027 general elections across the country.
