Governor Radda pays tribute to Nigerian Armed Forces

The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda has paid glowing tributes to officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces who gallantly lost their lives and sustained various degree of injuries in the cause defending the sovereignty, integrity and lives and properties of the citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Governor Radda pays tribute to Nigerian Armed Forces

Radda gave the commendation during the celebration of the 2026 National Army Day Celebration (NADCEl) which is ongoing in Port Harcourt,Rivers State.

The governor said the theme for this year’s celebration celebration tagged “Protecting the Nation and Saving Lives” is apt and in line with the current situation.

He noted with nostalgia, the resilience and professionalism of the army in warfronts especially in tackling the current insecurity bedeviling the nation

The governor commended the officers and men of the Nigerian Army in fighting insecurity in Katsina State and the entire North-West geo -political region and other parts of the country.

“I appreciate the Army’s resilience and their steadfast in combating banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other criminal activities in Katsina State, the feat is restoring hope in the affected communities” the governor said.

Radda reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining strong partnership with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the collective effort to achieve lasting peace and security in Katsina state.

“Our administration will remain fully committed to supporting the Nigerian Army through sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing, and community engagement”

“Together, we will continue to strengthen the fight against insecurity and create a safer environment where our people can live, work, and prosper,” the governor added .

He pledged to support officers and men of the Nigerian Army in the fight against insurgency in the State.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Nigeria is Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu.
