The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) has announced plans to arraign former Kaduna Governor, Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’i and two others before the Federal and Kaduna State High Courts on corruption charges.
A statement signed by John Okor Odey, Head of Media and Public Communications at ICPC, listed the charges filed on March 18, 2026, including misappropriation, possession of public property, and money laundering.
The statement also revealed that El-Rufa’i and Amadu Sule (LEDA) have been charged separately with abuse of office, fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud, among other allegations, in a case filed before a Kaduna State High Court.
“The ICPC wishes to inform the public that Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i has been duly served,” Odey said, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to uphold the rule of law.
The ICPC has not yet announced specific arraignment dates, stating that the details will be communicated at the appropriate time, as determined by the Court.
