The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai has met with His Excellency Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deepen already existing upgraded bilateral relations between both countries.
The meeting was held on Friday, December 5 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Both sides spoke highly of the development of the China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and agreed to further deepen practical cooperation across various fields for the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
Ambassador Yu noted that through the joint efforts of both sides, China-Nigeria relations have entered a “fast track.”
The two countries have consistently understood and supported each other on issues concerning core interests, and China supports Nigeria’s efforts in combating terrorism.
China stands ready to work closely with Nigeria to accelerate the implementation of the zero-tariff policy for Nigerian exports, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, consolidate strategic mutual trust, and elevate bilateral relations to a new height, Dunhai said.
