The Coalition for Good Governance in Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency has thrown its weight behind the lawmaker representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu, urging him to seek continuity in 2027.
A statement by the coalition’s leader, Hon. Mamuda Abubakar, said Yakubu has performed far beyond expectations since his election, describing his stewardship as a benchmark in effective representation.
The group noted that the lawmaker has made remarkable impact through legislative advocacy, constituency projects and youth empowerment, thereby improving the living conditions of the people.
They highlighted his interventions in infrastructure, education and social welfare, which they said had brought tangible relief to several communities, including hard-to-reach areas that had long been neglected.
According to the coalition, Yakubu’s inclusive approach and commitment to grassroots development had distinguished him from past representatives, restoring public confidence in elective office.
“Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu has demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of the constituency and has worked tirelessly to address them. We believe that his re-election will ensure continuity and further development of the constituency.
“We urge Hon. Ja’afaru Yakubu to heed the overwhelming demand of constituents to consolidate on the gains already recorded and move the constituency to greater heights,” statement read.
