From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna
The Kaduna State Police Command has invited Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, representing Kaduna Central zone, over allegations of threat to life and false claims levelled against him by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
The invitation was conveyed in a letter signed by the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, Rabiu Muhammad.
The invitation follows a petition submitted by Governor Sani through the state Ministry of Justice, accusing the Senator of making false and injurious statements capable of inciting unrest and undermining peace and security in the state.
Senator Lawal Adamu is expected to appear before the CP at the Command headquarters on Monday, September 1, to respond to the allegations.
The invitation letter reads in part: “Re-threat to life, false and injurious allegations against His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
“You are kindly requested to appear in person before the commissioner of police, Kaduna State Command, on Monday, 1st September, to respond to allegations,” the letter reads.
