The Kaduna State Police Command has advised residents to steer clear of designated areas in the metropolis as a two-day shooting exercise for recruits is set to begin on Tuesday.
According to a police statement, the shooting exercise will take place at the Amanan Kasuwa Shooting Range Ground, located along the Mararaban Jos-Panbegua Road in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Police spokesman DSP Mansir Hassan stated that “residents and commuters in the vicinity are advised to exercise caution and avoid the marked areas during the exercise.”
He assured the public that strict safety measures have been implemented, and there is no cause for alarm despite the anticipated gunfire.
Hassan added, “The command seeks the maximum cooperation of everyone and appreciates the understanding of residents as this essential training is conducted to enhance the operational readiness of officers and prepare them for future challenges.”
