From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government has approved the award of contracts for several vital road projects across its 23 Local Government Areas, marking a significant step forward in the state’s infrastructural development.

According to Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, Managing Director of Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), the new road projects align with Governor Uba Sani’s vision for Rural Transformation and urban poor development.

The new Roads projects are Construction of Asphaltic Road from Durum to Kuruntumawa, Makarfi LGA, Reconstruction of Romi-Karatudu Township Roads, Chikun LGA, Construction of Asphaltic Road from Kachia-Zonkwa main Road to the New Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia LGA, and Reconstruction of Kwoi Township Roads, Jaba LGA

The KADRA boss explained that other Road awards include Reconstruction and Upgrading of Rigasa Township Roads, Igabi LGA Construction of Kayarda Tasha – Kayarda Gari – U/Sarki – Maskawa – Dan Alhaji Road, Lere LGA Construction of Asphaltic Road from Bassawa Junction through Unguwan Rimi to Hunkiyi Junction, connecting Sabon Gari to Kudan LGAs

Reconstruction and Upgrading of Zango Road to Asibitin Yara and Musawa Road and Completion of Abandoned Dual Carriage Road from PAN Drive through Television Garage to Sabon Tasha, Chikun LGA. Other critical roads connecting various communities

The government, according to the KADRA helmsman, has allocated approximately N3.5 billion for compensation and relocation of services along these corridors, ensuring that all property owners along the carriage and right-of-way are fully compensated for any disruptions.

Dr. Ahmed emphasized that every Local Government Area in Kaduna State has benefited from infrastructure development under Governor Uba Sani’s administration.

This comprehensive approach ensures that no community is left behind in the pursuit of progress. The initiative is part of the administration’s commitment to transforming Kaduna State’s infrastructure and improving the lives of its citizens.
