The Santuraki of Ebira and former Special Assistant to Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, Alhaji Saidu Ugonoh has felicitated with Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the 64th Independence of Nigeria, and urged the President to rejig his cabinet for effective deliverance of dividends of democracy.

Alhaji Ugonoh an American- based politician and entrepreneur further said that brilliant Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various sectors and have shown competences should be picked to head sensitive areas.

Speaking on the need for government’s engagement with the masses through the instrumentality of the media and public image , Alhaji Ugonoh maintained that Nigerians like Doctor Daniel Bwala should be considered for roles that will help and sell Nigeria to the entire world describing him as an asset to Nigeria.

According to him, the country needs all hands on deck and that people who have world-views on contemporary issues are the most fit to launder the country’s image globally .

He commended President Tinubu for setting aside the avalanche of criticisms that arose from the likes of Bwala during the campaigns when he emerged Spokesperson to the Atiku Abubakar campaign in the 2023 presidential elections.

According to him, bringing those who criticised you on board shows that you have the qualities of a leader and have shown greater respect for dissenting views.

Alhaji Ugonoh pointed out that the task of re-tooling Nigeria and defining a new dawn should not be left only in the hands of regular politicians, but as a government it is imperative to include people who opposed you so as to give them the opportunity to bring on board what they can offer.

The Santuraki equally maintained that global practices entail that nations that have suffered the degree of challenges both economical and security wise will have to dig deep in search of prosperity and ensure discipline and hard decisions.

Commending Nigerians for their resilience, he urged the Federal government to continue to let Nigerians into its progressive agenda.

He expressed empathy over the Borno state flooding and commended all well meaning Nigerians and the Government to do all within their powers to deal with the challenges faced by the affected citizens .

He congratulated the Governors-elect of Edo State, Senator Monday okpebholo on his victory and urged him to work for the people of the state who elected him.
