The Katsina State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSMPWB) has said it is set to airlift 2047 pilgrims to perform the 2025 Hajj in Said Arabia.
The Executive Director (ED) of the Board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama disclosed this in an exclusive interview with the Citizenship Daily in Katsina on Thursday.
Dankama said that the airlifting of the Pilgrims will commence on May 19, 2025 via the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport Katsina.
According to him, adequate arrangements had been made for the acommodation and feeding of the Pilgrims in Mecca and Medina for the Hajj operations.
According to the ED, “Four flights will convey the the Pilgrims, and in each flight, about 500 people are expected to board the flight”
“We have secured the Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA), for all the intending Pilgrims and about 900 visas had already been processed for the pilgrims”.
Dankama disclosed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), had allocated 3867 seats to Katsina State but only 2047 seats were paid.
He said that the Board in collaboration with Islamic Clerics organized special workshop seminar to sensitize the pilgrims on their Hajj performance while in Saudi Arabia.
The ED pledged that the the pilgrims from Katsina State will observe all the rules and regulations of the holy land as they always do every year.
