Accord Party governorship candidate in Taraba State, Prof. Jerome Nyameh, has pledged to run an administration anchored on merit, fairness and equal opportunity if elected in 2027.

Nyameh spoke under his Taraba Therapy Agenda on Monday while interacting with Newsmen in Jalingo.
He noted  that his administration would ensure that a son or daughter of nobody can secure contracts, grants and other opportunities based on competence, not connections.
“Under the Taraba Therapy Agenda, a son or daughter of nobody will be able to secure contracts, grants, and other opportunities, not because they know someone, but because they applied, met the requirements, and demonstrated the knowledge, competence, and skills needed for the job.
“My administration will be built on merit, fairness, transparency, integrity, and equal opportunity. Tarabans are intelligent, hardworking, and resourceful,” he said.
He said his government would prioritise qualified Tarabans and residents of the state when awarding contracts and grants.
“We will invest in the people because empowering people is the fastest way to grow our economy and create lasting prosperity. Taraba’s resources must work for Tarabans and those residing in Taraba,” he added.
