All 179 participants from 128 countries have arrived in Makkah for the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran.

This year’s competition, which begins tomorrow at the Grand Mosque, features the highest number of participants in its history.

Organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the competition has dedicated teams working around the clock to serve the contestants, facilitate transportation, provide hospitality, and run a full program of events from arrival to departure.

Participants expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom and its leadership for their commitment to the Holy Quran and highlighted that this competition, with a total prize pool of SAR4 million, reinforces Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in preserving the Holy Quran and promoting moderation.
