

Luck ran out on two notorious one-chance robbers on Wednesday, after they succeeded in snatching and carting away items from an unsuspecting victim along new Nyanya en route to Area 1, Abuja.
This was made known in a statement by the nasarawa state Police command public relations officer, Ramhan Nansel, made available to newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Nansel said that information was received that suspected armed robbers with a Toyota Corolla 1994 model with Reg. No. Benue MKD 77 TF picked up an unsuspecting passenger from New Nyanya en route to Area 1, Abuja, but robbed the passenger of her handbag, iPhone and other valuables and threw their victim out of the moving vehicle.
“Upon receipt of the information the Police operatives attached to New Karu Area command in collaboration with public-spirited individuals gave the criminals a hot chase and intercepted their vehicle.
“Consequently, the duo of John Iorfa, 29 years, and James Agbo, 37 years based in Makurdi, Benue State were arrested and items earlier robbed from the victim were recovered.
The Police disclosed that the suspects have made useful statements and that effort is ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate.
