Troops Kill 438 Terrorists In 8 Months In N/Eastz says Commande

Troop of the Joint Task Force North-East Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command killed 438 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists between May and December this year, the Theater Commander, Maj.Gen. Abdussalam Abubakar, has revealed.

Troops, he also revealed, recovered 254 assorted weapons, rescued of 366 civilians from various terrorist enclaves, and the recovered 300 units of Starlink communication devices within the period.
“The surrender of 881 JAS/ISWAP fighters and their families, among other accomplishments, further underscore the progress made,” the Theater Commander revealed further.
Welcoming dignitaries and troops to the Theater Command’s Chief of Army Staff Christmas Luncheon, Saturday in Maiduguri, Gen. Abubakar disclosed that the Theater Command has also established new Forward Operating Bases at Duji and Kekeno to enhance its anti-terror operation.
“Resettlement of internally displaced milestone through the enormous support of the BOSG is also very instructive as it is a major milestone for OPHK under our key mandate,” he said.
Listing some of the resettled communities as Mallam Fatori, Darel Jamel, Delwa, Kekeno and most recently Mairari, Gen Abubakar acknowledged: “These communities have shown resilience with the support of the BOSG.”
He thanked Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijjani, and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, represented by the Commander of the Infantry Corp of the Nigerian Army, Maj.Gen Godwin Mutkut, and other dignitaries for attending the luncheon, a key feature of which was the important dignitaries serving food to the wounded troops, called Special Soldiers.
The Army Chief’s representative said he was in attendance to inject more impetus to the troops to fight to the end of terror in the region. ENDS
