Media networks have rallied around all faith leaders to join in the inaugural Kaduna Interfaith Dialogue (KID) coming up next week.

The event organized by Search for Common Ground Nigeria (SFCGN), in collaboration with other stakeholders dedicated to peace-building in the state, will provide the avenue to proffer lasting solutions for peace.
Given the above, the Kaduna Network of Peace Journalists (NPJ), has launched a widespread media campaign aimed at urging all faith leaders in the state to participate in the workshop.
This initiative, according to the Network, seeks to promote religious tolerance, peace, and unity in the state.
A statement issued and signed by the Team lead of NPJ, Ibrahima Yakubu, and made available to newsmen on Sunday, stated that KID stands as a beacon of hope, fostering understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different religions in the state.
“This workshop for religious leaders in the state offers a pivotal opportunity to strengthen relations and offer solutions to mitigate future crises related to ethno-religious tensions,” said Yakubu.
The statement added that the upcoming KID acts as a powerful catalyst for building bridges of understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different faiths. It serves as a beacon of hope in a world where religious diversity can be a source of richness and tension.
He said that the event would pave the way for a more harmonious and interconnected world — one where diverse beliefs can coexist in peace and cooperation.
The statement added that the KID brings together individuals from various religious backgrounds to engage in respectful and empathetic conversations; adding that the event provides a platform for sharing beliefs, values, and experiences while fostering genuine understanding.
