The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty of the newly posted commissioner of police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, as the 45th Commissioner of Police for the state.
Rabiu assumed office on December 31, 2024, succeeding AIG Ibrahim Abdullahi, PSC, mni, who was elevated from the rank of CP TO AIG.
This was contained in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Mansir Hassan and made available to the media in Kaduna today, Thursday.
The statement stated that CP was Born on July 16, 1969, in Ketare District, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, and brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the Command.
The statement added that the new CP was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1994. He graduated from Bayero University, Kano (1990), and holds an MSc in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2009).
“Throughout his illustrious career, CP Muhammad Rabiu held various positions within the force, which include: Divisional Police Officer Kubwa, DPO Area One Durumi, DPO Gwagwalada, DPO Life Camp FCT Abuja, Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC Ops) Taraba State Command, AC Admin FCT Command, Police Component Commander Operation Delta Safe Yenagoa, Commander 5 PMF Benin, Commander 22 PMF Lagos, Commander Spu Base 6 Portharcourt. Deputy Commander Operation Safe Haven Jos, DC Operations Ondo State Police Command.
His exceptional service has earned him numerous commendations for gallantry and professionalism. CP Muhammad Rabiu’s expertise includes operational leadership, fostering police-community relations, and implementing intelligence-led strategies to combat crime effectively.
