The Nasarawa State Police Command has launched a massive manhunt for the suspected abductors of Barr. Yusuf Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information.
This is according to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel made available to journalists in Lafia.
The statement said “According to eyewitnesses, a patrol team from B Division, Lafia, discovered a suspicious Peugeot pick-up van with all doors wide open near the victim’s residence on Tuesday, July 15, 2025”
“Upon further investigation, officers found the gate to Barr. Musa’s residence ajar, and a search confirmed that he was missing, along with his GMC vehicle. The police believe this to be a case of abduction”
The statement added that the commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has activated a coordinated tactical operation to track down the suspects.
All police divisions across the state have been alerted, and surveillance has been deployed along strategic routes.
The police have assured the public that they are committed to rescuing Barr. Musa safely and apprehending those responsible.
Citizens are urged to remain calm and vigilant, and anyone with information is encouraged to report to the nearest police station.
