The Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Hon Moses Maihankali has thrown his weight behind Governor Agbu Kefas’ decision to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
In a statement on Sunday in Jalingo, he expressed support for the governor’s decision, citing the need for Taraba State to align with the federal government for accelerated development.
“We fully support Governor Kefas’ decision to join the APC. This is a bold step towards transforming Taraba State and improving the lives of our people.”
“I want to emphasize that aligning with the federal government is crucial for Taraba’s accelerated development,” he said.
This is coming when the State government released the defection announcement ceremony which scheduled to take place at the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, Taraba State on Wednesday.
