Comptroller Aliyu Alkali has officially assumed leadership at the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone B Kaduna, taking over from Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shuaibu.
This was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer Federal Operations Unit Zone B Kaduna CSC Saidu Nuruddeen and made available to the media in Kaduna today.
The statement stated that the handover ceremony at Kangiwa House was a well-attended affair, drawing distinguished guests, retired colleagues, members of the press, and serving officers from the unit.
In his farewell address, the outgoing Comptroller Shuaibu expressed his gratitude and satisfaction at concluding his tenure on a high note.
He described his tenure as a “celebration of freedom” after a year of dedicated service; he urged the officers to extend the same level of cooperation he enjoyed to his successor.
Comptroller Shuaibu concluded by expressing his sincere appreciation to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team for the opportunity to serve.
The incoming Comptroller, Alkali, acknowledged the significant responsibilities associated with leading the unit covering such an extensive area. He pledged to build upon the existing foundation of peaceful and professional conduct in operations.
