The 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt has urged residents of Port Harcourt, Elele and it’s environs not to panic over the planned movement of its personnel between 6th to 10th October, 2025.
Lt Col. Danjuma Jonah, the Division’s Deputy Director of Public Relations in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Thursday said the Division is hosting the Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination for the year 2025, in Port Harcourt and Elele Barracks, Rivers State respectively.
He said as a result of the exercise there will be massive movement of candidates in and around Port Harcourt and Elele between 6-10 October 2025.
“Furthermore, candidates would be participating in series of physical activities around Port Harcourt and Elele, including 13 Kilometres endurance walk, traversing some adjoining communities around Port Harcourt Barracks,” he said.
He enjoined members of the public not to panic on sighting movement of the candidates and the Examination officials and reassured them that adequate measures have been put in place for public safety and security, particularly on traffic flow along designated routes.
