A Russian and Israeli trained Security Expert, who is also a PDP Gubernatorial contender for the 2027 election, Dr. Ogbenjuwa Ochakiti Oyije, has hailed the Chairman, Benue Traditional Council, the Tor Tiv, HRM James Ayatse , describing him as a courageous paramount ruler of Benue State.
Dr. Ogbenjuwa, made this statement after listening to the Tor Tiv stance in his address to the President and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu while in Benue on the 18th June, 2025, to commiserate with the people of Benue over the Yelewata massacre which he described as ‘heinous’ , ‘barbaric’ and ‘genocidal’ .
The statement reads: “The Tor Tiv is always sincere, straight and uncompromising with his leadership voice speaking out genuinuely to the President against the organized criminal invaders determined to take over Benue land. Indeed he’s a leader with style. His words match my leadership style and ideas, and we are glad to have him as our Traditional Leader in the State”.
He advised all political leaders to borrow a leaf from the Tor Tiv and stand to protect and defend their people at any cost, as this is the essence of power and governance.
