The Katsina State Government said that it has expended over N36 billion Naira in maintaining internal security in the State.
The State Deputy Governor, Malam Farouk Jobe disclosed this during the monthly press briefing with journalists in Katsina on Tuesday.
According to him, kinetic and and non-kinetic approaches were adopted in the fight against insecurity and criminalities in the State pointing out that the approach is yielding fruitful results
He explained that Islamic clerics, community leaders, relevant stakeholders along with special vigilantes were supported morally and financially against the ugly trends.
Jobe said Katsina State Administration under Governor Dikko Radda would continue to wage war against insecurity to get rid of criminals to ensure peace and tranquility in the State.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor said that the State government has recorded achievements in Land Administration land physical planning to enhance growth and development of Katsina City and environ
He said that over N856milloon was expended to revive the Katsina State Geographical Information System +KAGIS), with modern equipment to enhance its performance.
He said that the initiative will create room for good City plan and genuine allocation of lands to individuals and corporate bodies.
Jobe said that government also made significant investments in.power sector towards tackling the erratic power failure from power distribution companies.
