Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has said that his administration will ensure zero tolerance for corruption in all the Local Government Areas of the State.
Radda gave the assurance on Monday during the swearing- in of the 34 Local Government Chairmen who were elected recently across the State.
While congratulating them over their victory at the polls, he charged them to be transparent in their spendings in the provision of quality education and other basic infrastructure in their areas.
He said “I want you to be modest and transparent in your administration at your respective local governments.
“I want you to also to carry everyone along irrespective of any political affiliations.
“My administration will give you all he necessary support to ensure your succuss, he said.
”
The Governor charged the Chairmen to maintain peace and order in their their local government areas to ensure peace and unity in the State in general.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who also graced the occasion advised the chairmen not to divert people’s funds to their personal purse.
He reminded them that he was once a local government chairman, secretary and later Governor and currently national chairman of APC and therefore charged them not to be corrupt.
