From Edirin Robinson, in Kaduna

Following the adjournment of the court hearing of the murder case of an SS2 student of the Government Technical College Malali, Kaduna, Ahmed Musa, the deceased family has threatened to hold mass protests, accusing the State Government and Police of allegedly neglecting them.

It would be recalled that the late Ahmed Musa was brutally murdered on the 16th of February, 2025, leading to the arrest of six suspects, with two remanded in Police custody.

The Chief Magistrate presiding over the case, Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid, adjourned the case until 27th May 2025 due to the absence of the witnesses in court —the Nigeria police and the prime suspects.

While addressing the media after the court session today (Wednesday), the mother of the deceased called for the intervention of Human Rights groups such as Amnesty International and others, to ensure justice is served.

“I want the public to know that no matter what, I, the biological mother of Late Ahmed Musa, won’t pack up. I will continue to struggle to see justice has been done.

“By merely looking at the murder case, it’s like the Kaduna State Government and the Nigerian Police want to frustrate us, the family, so that out of frustration, we will pack up and the murder case will no longer proceed.

“So the next step is that we will organize a mass Women’s protest across the state; we have started contacting different women’s organizations.

“After that, We then proceed to the BEREKETE Family. Also, We will organize a worldwide press conference in respect of my son’s brutalization,” she said.
