Professor Safiyyu emerges 1st Professor of Arabic literature in Bauchi State

Professor Muhammad Safiyyu Abdulkadir, has become the first indigene of Bauchi to become a Professor in Arabic Literature, specialising in Nigerian Arabic Literature.

Professor Safiyyu Abdulkadir emerged as the first professor in Arabic at the Federal University Kashere, in Gombe State.

Many distinguished Islamic scholars disclosed this in Bauchi at the Walima reception to celebrate Professor Safiyyu’s meritorious promotion to attain such an honour as a Professor of Arabic Literature in the Federal University Kashere.

The Bauchi-State-born Islamic scholar has been able to write useful and valuable research that is relied upon academically and non-academically, in articles, magazines and books, he has written more than forty literature, including books, articles, book reviews, a book in a chapter, and others in his field of study and in other scientific fields, and he is still devoted to writing scientific research.

Some of his journals were published in universities and scientific centers outside the country, and he has held many scientific meetings, conferences and symposiums and many workshops and training courses which attended globally.

The Secretary of the National Association of Teachers of Arabic And Islamic Studies (NATAIS), Professor Ramadan Sheriff,
while reacting to the development when he delivered a congratulatory message to the scholar during the Walima, said Professor Safiyyu’s “resilience, commitment to knowledge acquisition and dissemination, and passion for scholarly development exemplify the values he instilled in us in NATAIS”

Professor Ramadan said “being the first Bauchi State indigene to attain such an honour, it is a testament to your knack for scholarly excellence, dedication to intellectual erudition, and the profound impact of the education provided by our father, teacher and mentor, late Sheikh Sheikh Abdulkadir Musa Jahun of blessed memory may Allah be pleased with him” .

He said “It is with immense joy that we celebrate your success and take pride in the fact.”

The Bauchi State Director of National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies,NBAIS, Mallam Abdurrashid Abdulkadir described Professor Safiyyu as “a product of the esteemed scholarship and congratulated him on the well-deserved promotion to a distinguished position of Professor in Arabic Literature.

He said “This remarkable feat accentuates your accomplishments and is a beacon of pride for us at NBAIS, NATAIS, Islamic centers in Nigeria and the entire African continent.
On their part center for Qur’anic Schools Traditional Schools led by Alaramma Zakariya’u Dauduwo congratulated Professor Safiyyu on this milestone achievement.
Professor Safiyyu expressed his gratitude to all people that attended the occasion and pray to Allah to reward his parents for their commitment towards the development of Islam and Pray to Allah to reward his parents who gives him.proper knowledge guidance and good upbringing that help him to succeed.
He dedicated his Professor and honour to all amajiri pupils that memorised the Holy Qur’an.

Professor Muhammad Safiyyu Abdulkadir was born in Bauchi Local government area, Bauchi State Nigeria on 22nd April, 1974.

He attended Usmanu DanFodio University, Sokoto, University of Jos, Plateau, Bayero University, Kano, Kano State,Government Arabic Teachers College, Gombe, Gombe State and
Unguwar Barno Primary School, Bauchi.
