From Femi Mustapha, in Kaduna
The Former Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Walid Jibrin has appealed to Nigerians especially the youths to exercise caution and engage in dialogue with the government to address the country’s economic challenges, rather than resorting to protests that could exacerbate the situation.
Speaking to the Media in Kaduna, Tuesday, the Former BOT Chairman warned that protests could play into the hands of those seeking to destroy the country, leading to more chaos and destruction
Senator Walid Jibril therefore, urged Nigerians to engage in self-reflection, take responsibility for past mistakes, and work towards building a new, prosperous Nigeria based on empathy, honesty, and integrity.
“I acknowledged abject poverty, senseless killings, and hopelessness, but emphasized that protests are not the solution.
“We must reject the temptation to indulge in destructive tendencies and instead work towards creating a society built on empathy, honesty, and integrity,” he said.
Senator Walid Jibril also emphasized that Nigeria’s future depends on individual and collective efforts toward positive change, and urged Nigerians to say no to protests and yes to self-reflection, personal growth, and collective transformation that will benefit the masses.
