From Femi  Mustapha, in Kaduna
The Southern Kaduna People’s Union, SOKAPU, has dissociated itself from any upcoming protest seemingly directed against the administration of
Senator Uba Sani.

The National  President of the  Union, Mr. Tabara Kato revealed this during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.

The SOKAPU president expressed deep satisfaction with the policy trajectory of Governor Uba Sani’s administration and lauded the equitable and inclusive execution of projects across the state.

Commending the administration’s rural transformation initiatives, Comrade Kato emphasized that the implementation of the SUSTAIN Agenda signifies a new era for Kaduna State and no son or daughter from Southern Kaduna will be part of the planned protest as the leadership of the Union is moving around to ensure no protest in the Zone.

He stressed the need for unwavering support instead of engaging in protests, stating, “All we need in this country and Kaduna State  is what will stabilize it; enough of protest.”

Mr. Kato highlighted the importance of fostering positive engagements with Nigerian citizens, focusing on the country’s positive developments and challenges

While emphasizing their commitment to the  Governor SUSTAIN Agenda he urged security agencies to stay vigilant, cautioning that such protests might disrupt public peace.

In her response, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe expressed appreciation to the SOKAPU leadership for the visit, saying collaborative spirit between the government and SOKAPU, fostering a platform for continued partnership in steering the state towards progress and development.

She also commended the Union for taking a stand against any planned protest because one can only know where his actions begin but cannot predict where they end.

Dr.Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe said all Southern Kaduna people are her own because she is their daughter, adding that Governor Uba Sani’s administration is committed to a people-centered and inclusive governance approach, underscoring the administration’s dedication to the welfare of the citizens.

The visit was more than a courtesy and solidarity call. It symbolizes the resonance of Governor Sani’s policies with key stakeholders, setting the stage for a promising and transformative era for Kaduna State, she said.

The positive reception from SOKAPU underscored the potential for a robust and inclusive future under the visionary leadership of Governor Uba Sani, she added.
