From Godwin Agia, Jalingo
The Chief Registrar, Taraba High Court of Justice, Bartholomew Kaigama has said arrangements have been concluded to commence e-filing and online assignment of cases for efficient and speedy justice dispensation.
Kaigama disclosed this at a media briefing on the achievements of Hon. Justice Joel Agya, the Taraba Chief Judge (CJ) in  one year of the Gov. Agbu Kefas’ administration.
The registrar explained that following the increment of overhead cost by the administration, Agya provided desktops and laptops to all high court judges in the state to facilitate e-filing and online assignment of cases.
He said arrangements have been concluded on the training of judicial officers, magistrates and registrars on small claims court and e-filing system for a smooth take off.
Kaigama enumerated other achievements of the chief judge within the year including; tarring roads within the whole premises of the high Court complex, Jalingo, renovation of high court Gembu, renovation of the residence of high court judge in Wukari.
Others are printing of all judicial forms, provision of stationery for all courts in the state, payment of monthly overhead allowances to all the lower court judges in the state.
“The CJ was also able to organize training for all categories of lower Court judges, registrars and administrative staff at the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in Abuja and secured state government sponsorship of eight judicial officers to International Conferences in 2023,” he  said.
Kaigama further said the CJ has also completed the  process of appointment of more judicial officers for the state, who would soon be sworn in to strengthen manpower.
