The Katsina State gubernatorial candidate on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has in strong terms, condemned a series of bandits attacks in some communities in Funtua Local Government area.
As contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Abubakar Ahmed and made available in Gusau Zamfara State capital on Saturday, Senator Babba Kaita has registered his unreserved condolence and sympathy to the entire people of Funtua, especially the families of the victims of the attack.
The ADC governorship candidate urged all authorities concerned to do the needful to ensure the menace is brought to an end, saying, it is the duty of any government to provide its citizens with adequate security to their lives and property.
“This incessant attacks on various communities in Funtua local government area has remained a point of serious concern, something formidable needs to be done by the concerned authorities to save the innocent lives of our people.
“Senator Kaita who is fast recovering from an illness that led to his medical trip to Europe for further treatment, said the security situation is deteriorating and is almost going out of control as innocent communities were attacked throughout the outgoing week.
“Banditry has long become the great fear of good people of Katsina State which needs stronger collaboration between the governments and security agencies to save the situation with immediate effect for the return of normalcy”, Kaita said.
