By Godwin Agia, Jalingo

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Barrister Ibrahim El-Sudi, has commended the successful and peaceful conduct of the Local Government Areas (LGAs) congresses held across the state.

Speaking shortly after the affirmation exercise in Jalingo on Sunday, he described the process as a milestone for party unity and democracy.
El-Sudi
El-Sudi noted that the congresses were conducted without tension or conflict, which he attributed to improved internal coordination, and explained that for the first time in a long while, stakeholders were able to sit together, deliberate, and agree on a common direction without resorting to disputes or heavy security presence.
According to him, the success of the exercise was also a reflection of newfound leadership within the party, emphasized that the APC in Taraba now has a clear leader providing direction, which has helped to reduce friction and foster consensus among members.
The chairman further stated that the peaceful nature of the congresses showed that the party was preparing itself for future electoral victories even as he expressed optimism that with unity and discipline, APC would not only remain strong in Taraba but also expand its influence nationwide.
“The caucus of the APC sat down and deliberated on a unity list, and they came out with it. As you can see, there aren’t even many policemen here because the process has been rancor-free, unlike before. Now, people are allowed to sit down and understand each other, and that’s why the affirmation took place successfully,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Congress Committee, Mr. Pam Gyang Moses, also praised the conduct of the exercise, he highlighted the sense of cooperation and synergy among party leaders, which he said made the process seamless.
“Honestly, I have seen a sense of understanding. We have seen leadership. I must salute their synergy, no complaints, and all the leaders that emerged as a result of consensus,” he said.
Citizenship Daily reports that the congress was monitored by a team of officials, including Mr. Pam Gyang Moses as Chairman, Barrister Kanmi Adetunji as Chairman of the Screening Committee, and Mr. Sunday Buga as Chairman of the Congress Appeal Committee.
