From Femi Mustaphain tapha, in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has announced a string of successful operations, resulting in the arrest of several suspects and the recovery of illicit items.

This was according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Hassan Mansir, and made available to the media in Kaduna today (Thursday).

The statement said that these operations demonstrate the command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.

The statement further stated that on September 29, 2025, police operatives arrested Franklin Ozo, a 30-year-old male from Danmagaji, Zaria, for supplying drugs to bandits.

The suspect was found in possession of large quantities of Exol tablets worth millions of naira, intended for consumption by bandits in Kidandan and Giwa.

” On the same day, police detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrested Alhaji Sani, popularly known as “Dan Gude,” in Doka Ilu village, Giwa Local Government Area.

“The suspect was found with a fabricated AK-47 rifle, two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, and an AK-47 magazine.”

Similarly, on September 22, 2025, police operatives arrested three suspected child traffickers, including Khadija Ibrahim, Daniel Samuel, and Danjuma Makoshi.

Two children, Abdulmumin and Ibrahim Bilyaminu, a 5-year-old male from Gusau, Zamfara State, were rescued and are currently under police protection.

” On September 30, 2025, police recovered 60 cows and 25 sheep that had been rustled, thanks to a tip-off from a repentant bandit. The livestock were successfully handed over to their rightful owner.”

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reiterated the command’s determination to combat drug trafficking, illegal arms proliferation, and child trafficking.

He warned all criminal elements involved in these crimes to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
