The Jos township stadium in Plateau State popularly known as the Rwang Pam Stadium is undergoing massive upgrade and remodelling.
The remodelling is to improve the capacity of the stadium to be in sync with modern sporting arenas.
Governor Caleb Muftwang gave the approval and release of funds for the transformation of the Stadium which was famous as the home of the Mighty Jet Football Club and the Plateau United Football Club both of Jos.
The cost of the project, according to State officials who spoke with Citizenship Newspaper at the project site on Thursday, was put at N6billion.
The spectators stand, originally 4, 000 capacity will be expanded to 12,000 capacity
The remodelling of the stadium is expected to be completed and delivered in December, barring any obstacle.
